I understand first-hand how living with an alcoholic can be. You have witnessed this person kill themselves slowly and sacrifice everything for their next fix. Your relationship is strained and they are simply not the same person you once knew. They are violent, manipulative, unpredictable, and putting themselves and your family in danger. Everyone in this position needs support. You will learn to set boundaries, stop enabling this person, protect yourself/your children if there is violence occurring in your home, and gather the strength to leave if necessary.
